Redeeming ShowPoints for Tickets
Unfortunately not. All theatre ticket purchases are always final.
top
Certain Ticket Awards are booked using special inventory allotments. Your seats will be assigned and e-mailed to you after you complete your purchase. Unless otherwise stated, in these circumstances you will be assigned the best available seats in the orchestra or front mezzanine seating sections. Since most Broadway and Off-Broadway theatres are small (under 1,200 seats) and not giant concert venues, all seats are generally considered very good. If purchased on a weekday, your specific seatswill be assigned within 24-48 hours of your purchase. Any tickets purchased during a holiday period or weekend will be assigned on the next regular business day.

Most shows on Broadway have an open-ended run meaning that they run for an unspecified period of time. In the unfortunate event that a show decides to end its run and you have purchased or redeemed for a ticket to that show, you will be notified by email or phone by a member of the Audience Rewards concierge staff who will refund your points and any cash paid as part of your redemption.

urrently, the Auctions website is available in English only.
top
A single-package auction event is an auction with only one package available; the highest bid wins at the close of the auction. If multiple packages are available for one auction, winners will be determined based on the highest bids at the time the auction closes.
top
A multi-package auction event is an auction with more than one package available; the highest bids, in order, win at the close of the auction. For example, if an auction has 2 packages available, 2 members may win the auction. In this case, the two highest bids at the auction's close, will win the auction. A member may only win 1 package per auction.
top
Each auction will have a varying length of time it is available for bidding. Please view the details specific to the auction you're interested in.
top
There is no typical package price — it depends on how many members bid on the packages and how high each member is willing to bid. To view more details about package purchase prices, please visit Past Auctions.
top
Yes. Package quantities are limited to one per member per unique auction, and five total packages per calendar year. Please note that this is subject to change per auction/event.
top
No. All purchases are final. If you are the winning bidder, ShowPoints will be deducted automatically from your account.
top
Many of our packages include two tickets so that a friend or relative can attend. However, the winning bidder may not resell items redeemed through the Auctions program and may not assign, transfer, remarket, resell or otherwise dispose of an experience without obtaining Audience Rewards' prior written consent. Violators are subject to removal from the program and forfeiture of ShowPoints balance.

It's easy — just follow these simple steps:
Once your bid is confirmed, it is final and cannot be retracted. While you have an actively winning or max bid, your ShowPoints available balance will be reduced by the maximum value until such time that you have been outbid or won the Auction. If you're the winning bidder, ShowPoints will be deducted automatically from your account to use for the Auctions experience. Any unused balance from a max bid, not used to transact a winning bid, will be returned to your account for immediate use. top
Yes, you can increase your bid anytime before the auction closes. To do so, simply follow the bidding steps above.
top
If you've elected to receive e-mail alerts for the auction, we will automatically send you an email when your bid is no longer the highest. At that time, you will have the opportunity to raise your bid. You may also elect to receive a text message alert. Text messaging rate may apply.
top
If you are the winning bidder, you will receive an email notification. Prior to your event you will be contacted to receive details on your experience.
top
The bid increment is the minimum number of ShowPoints required to place a bid. For example, if the bid increment is 500 and you click the "Bid" button, you are placing a bid for 500 more ShowPoints than the current high bid.
top
While watching an auction in real time, you will see a button that says "Bid XX,XXX ShowPoints." When you click that button, you are placing a manual bid for the stated number of ShowPoints.
top
Submit a manual bid by clicking the "Bid # Now" button. This automatically increases the current high bid by the bid increment amount.
top
A maximum bid is the greatest number of ShowPoints a member is willing to redeem for a particular auction item. The maximum bid amount must greater than the current high bid plus 2 bid increments, or a greater amount. Once you enter a maximum bid amount, you may not reduce or remove it. During the auction, the system manages the bidding process for you. Whenever you are outbid, the system automatically increases your bid by the lowest possible bid increment until you win the auction or reach your maximum bid amount. If another member outbids your maximum bid, we will send you an email notification. If the auction is still open at that time, you may then decide to place a manual bid or stop bidding on the item. To win with a maximum bid, you must have submitted the highest bid at the final closing time of the auction.
top
An auto bid is a bid placed automatically by the system on behalf of a member who has submitted a maximum bid.
top
We accept bids online only, but you can submit bids from your mobile device (via our mobile site) or your desktop computer. Only you may submit a bid. A Customer Service Specialist may not bid on your behalf.
top
Not always. If a bid is placed during the last five minutes of an auction, the auction is reset automatically for five minutes from the time of the latest bid. This is called Bid Extend and can be activated by any member who places a bid within the last five minutes. The auction closes once all bidding activity has stopped for a period of five minutes.
If you have placed a bid when Bid Extend is engaged, you should refresh or reload your browser frequently (every three to five seconds) so that it displays the most current bid status information. top
No. Once confirmed, all bids are final and cannot be retracted. If you are the winning bidder, ShowPoints will be temporarily and automatically deducted from your account to use for your Auctions experience. If you are outbid, and are no longer the winning bidder, those points will be immediately returned to your account.
top
While your confirmed bid is being used in an auction, your ShowPoint balance is temporarily reduced by the maximum value of that bid, until such time that you either win the auction or outbid. If you win the auction only the ShowPoints required to win will be automatically deducted from your account any difference as a result of a maximum bid will be returned immediately. ShowPoints will be immediately returned to your account when you are outbid or lose an auction.
